Neroli Essential Oil

Neroli is one of the most precious raw materials in skincare. It comes from the flowers of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium), which grows around the Mediterranean. The white blossoms are hand-picked, one by one, over a few weeks in spring, before the heat of the day can damage them. It takes around 850 kilos of petals to obtain a single kilo of Essential Oil, making it a rare and highly prized extract.

In the Aromessence and the Rich Cream Neroli Bigarade, Neroli Essential Oil is the cornerstone of the hydrating synergy. It strengthens the skin barrier from the very first drops and helps the skin hold on to the water it would otherwise lose. Applied in the morning as a day booster, it is the first line of defence against everyday dehydration. Both soft and luminous, its floral scent turns every application into a sensory ritual.

Petitgrain Bigarade Essential Oil

Petitgrain Bigarade comes from the foliage of the bitter orange tree – the same tree as Neroli. The difference lies in the part that is distilled: the leaves and twigs, rather than the flowers. The harvest extends over a longer period, which makes this Essential Oil more accessible. Its olfactory profile is greener and fresher, with herbaceous notes reminiscent of a crushed leaf.

In the Aromessence and the Rich Cream Neroli Bigarade, Petitgrain Bigarade extends and supports Neroli’s action on the skin barrier. Where Neroli works instantly, Petitgrain makes that action last. It helps the skin retain its water throughout the day. This complementarity between the flower and the leaf of the same tree lies at the heart of the formulation philosophy behind the Neroli Bigarade range.

Sweet Orange Essential Oil

Sweet Orange Essential Oil is cold-pressed from the zest of the orange (Citrus sinensis). This mechanical process, free from heat and solvents, keeps the fruit’s aromatic profile intact and preserves all of its active compounds.

In the Aromessence Neroli Bigarade, Sweet Orange completes the synergy, bringing comfort and radiance to skin that has lost its glow. It also plays a sensory role: it gives the Oil-Serum its sunny, energising base note that awakens the senses first thing in the morning. Together, Neroli (flower), Petitgrain Bigarade (leaf) and Sweet Orange (fruit) form a citrus trio in which every part of the plant helps to strengthen the skin barrier and preserve the skin’s natural hydration.

In the morning, apply the Aromessence to clean skin, followed by the Rich Cream. The cream can also be used in the evening.

Place 3 drops of Aromessence in your hands, warm gently, bring your hands close to your face and take 3 deep breaths. Apply to the face, neck and décolleté, avoiding the eye and lip areas, then apply the cream, smoothing from the centre of the face outwards.

The Aromessence helps preserve hydration and enhances the penetration of the actives in the skincare that follows. The Rich Cream provides nourishment and protection: two complementary steps for skin lacking both water and lipids.
